American Beacon Advisors, Inc. began providing short-term fixed-income client services as an independent entity in November 1986. Prior to that, our founding investment officers successfully managed the operating funds of the treasury department of a major U.S. corporation. Their investment success led to the formal creation of AMR Investments (our predecessor firm) to provide business management, advisory, administrative and asset management consulting services to other institutional investors. The American Beacon Funds were created and made available to the general investing public in 1987.
