Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated undergraduate student to join our finance and accounting team as a Summer Intern. This hands-on internship offers exposure to real-world financial operations, with a focus on supporting ad hoc projects and conducting competitive intelligence research. You’ll help aggregate and analyze information to support strategic decision-making in a dynamic environment. This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in finance, economics or related fields to gain practical experience without requiring prior accounting experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with ad hoc financial and accounting projects as assigned, including data collection, organization and basic analysis
- Research and aggregate competitive intelligence by gathering publicly available data on industry peers, market trends, pricing, financial performance, and other relevant metrics
- Compile reports, spreadsheets, and summaries from various sources (e.g., financial statements, industry reports, news, databases) to support team insights
- Support general finance/accounting tasks such as data entry, reconciliation support, expense tracking, or report preparation under supervision
- Collaborate with team members to organize and maintain financial documentation and research files
- Perform other duties as needed to support the finance and account department
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business administration, or related field
- Strong interest in finance, markets, or competitive analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, basic formulas) and comfort with other Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint)
- Excellent research skills with the ability to gather, synthesize, and present information clearly and accurately
- Good communication skills (written and verbal) for reporting findings and collaborating with team
- Self-motivated, eager to learn and able to work independently with guidance
- Previous internship, part-time work, or relevant coursework is a plus but not required
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with financial concepts (e.g., basic financial statements, ratios, market analysis)
- Experience with data aggregation tools, online research databases or industry reports
- GPA of 3.0 or higher (preferred)

C. Data Analytics & Technology Adoption
- Advanced Financial Modeling: Applying Excel skills to complex financial models and scenario planning (e.g., best-case/worst-case scenarios)
- Digital Transformation Projects: Assisting the CFO in adopting new AI-driven tools or upgrading ERP/finance systems to improve operational efficiency
- Data Visualization: Using tools to turn complex, large-scale financial data into actionable insights for the C-suite
D. Executive Mentorship & Network
- C-Suite Exposure: Attending, or taking minutes at, high-level meetings, which provides insights into how the CFO interacts with the CEO and investment team
- Mentorship: Working directly with senior finance professionals and potential partners, gaining insight in daily activities of a finance department
- Understanding Stakeholder Relationships: Exposure to how the firm manages relationships with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and investors
