History
American Beacon was founded in 1986 as the institutional investment arm of the former AMR Corp. (now American Airlines Group Inc.). Since our inception as a pension fiduciary, we have focused on identifying and overseeing institutional investment managers and portfolio risk management. In 1987, we leveraged our size and experience to launch a series of sub-advised, multi-manager mutual funds providing individual investors access to many of the same institutional managers as our pension clients. In 2023, we launched our first exchange-traded fund. As we continue to expand our family of funds, we take a solutions-based approach to offering innovative investment products with enduring value.

Culture
Our working environment is highly interdependent, with the staff members functioning as a close-knit team. At the same time, individual initiative is encouraged and rewarded. Working for American Beacon is a wonderful combination of freedom and teamwork, where people are supported for striking out into new territory.
